Family Reunion (FR) is one of few safe options for refugees fleeing persecution/conflict to reunite with loved ones and rebuild their lives in the UK. We will provide legal representation to reunite families and support to help newly arrived refugees adjust to life in the UK.

FR transforms lives; but key barriers remain. FR applications require expert knowledge of immigration law and require legal representation. Most refugees are unable to afford solicitor fees or access legal aid, leaving most without representation. Once refugees arrive via FR, most experience delays getting benefits/housing and are forced to navigate a new culture, language and bureaucratic processes on top of personal trauma. Without support, many are made homeless or destitute.

We will give legal representation to refugees navigating the FR process, including; evidence gathering, preparing witness statements/application bundles, challenging Home Office delays/appealing wrongful decisions (we have never lost an appeal), and arranging safe travel to the UK. Once refugees arrive via FR, we will help them apply for benefits/housing, find suitable foster placements (for unaccompanied children), register with NHS services and schools, access foodbanks and further education.
