Situation
Climate change is dramatically reshaping the Pembrokeshire Coast Paths, with far-reaching consequences for people, wildlife, and the community. Rising sea levels, extreme weather, and increased storm intensity are accelerating coastal erosion, leading to landslides, cliff falls, and path collapses. These hazards threaten the safety and accessibility of the path, disrupt local ecosystems, and negatively impact tourism and the economy.
Solution
Our charity wants to address coastal issues by partnering with Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and National Trails. While we can't instantly halt climate change and erosion, we can proactively respond to problems and plan for future safeguarding. Working with our partners we will support in repair work, path diversions, bridge restoration, and debris removal to future-proof the coast path and protect surrounding habitats from climate change impacts.
