The Norfolk Drug and Alcohol Partnership reports around 4,400 adults are in structured substance misuse treatment. This is estimated to represent only half of all adults with a treatment need. Around 190,000 adults in Norfolk drank more than the recommended maximum weekly units. Based on the Crime Survey for England Wales 2022 it is estimated that 16,500 young people aged 16-25 years in Norfolk have taken a drug. There are many vulnerable individuals that need access to our recovery support.

Our double awarding winning Recovery Hub is at the heart of the support The Matthew Project provides. It is the only centre in Norfolk dedicated to providing a unique space for adults in recovery from substance misuse to access specialist support, help and guidance. Alongside this we deliver peer led groups, 1:1 support, parent groups, affected others support and positive activities to children, young people and veterans. We will provide outreach support to Norfolk and Suffolk.
