Home-Start Butser stands alongside families in communities in East Hampshire. Over the past 26 years, we have helped to give hundreds of children a better start in life. We know that it takes a village to raise a child. Being a parent has never been easy. It can be lonely, frustrating, heart breaking and over-whelming. When families feel isolated and lack support around them, nurturing a family can feel a real struggle. For far too many, parenting can be a lonely experience.
Our local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helps families with young children through their challenging times. Our approach is as individual as the people we’re helping, volunteers visit families weekly and offer practical and emotional support helping parents to grow in confidence, strengthen their relationships with their children and widen their links with the local community. We are innovative and flexible enabling us to respond to the needs of families.
