Thanks to your support of World Child Cancer, children with cancer will be able to access lifesaving treatment in Asia. We will achieve this by funding diagnosis, treatment, medicines, transport to hospital, and family accommodation, which are otherwise prohibitively expensive for families.

Childhood cancer is highly curable. In high-income countries such as the UK, 84% of children who develop cancer survive. In lower income countries in Asia, however, survival rates can be as low as 15%. Families are often forced into poverty and sometimes have to abandon their child’s treatment due to the costs of diagnosis, treatment, drugs, transport to hospital and accommodation. Many children die unnecessarily due to a lack of access to diagnosis and treatment.

World Child Cancer provides direct financial support to the families of children with cancer to cover the costs of diagnosis, treatment, drugs, nutrition, transport to hospital, and accommodation near hospital. This plays a crucial role for children with cancer in overcoming barriers to accessing, and remaining in, treatment. It ensures children can receive a swift diagnosis and can access lifesaving treatment.
