We are the UK’s largest, hunger-focused school breakfast provider. We work with Primary, Secondary, ASL / SEN Schools, and Pupil Referral Units with over 225,000 children and young people at their schools. We aim to end child morning hunger, which has a significant impact on educational attainment.

In January 2024, the Food Foundation found that 1 in 5 households with children experience food insecurity (no access to sufficient food of an adequate quality to meet basic needs). Almost 3 million food parcels were distributed by foodbanks in the 22/23 financial year, the highest ever number. More than one million of these were for children. Child hunger can greatly limit educational attainment, when children are hungry they are more likely to be tired, disruptive and unable to concentrate.

We will solve this problem by ensuring a nutritious breakfast is provided to as many pupils at risk of hunger as possible. Alongside the food itself, we give expert advice to schools to ensure provision is clearly signposted and designed to be accessible to all. Our breakfast provision not only fills tummies, but significantly increases educational attainment, addressing inequalities in disadvantaged areas. We are also building a movement to push for a long-term solution to child morning hunger.
