Following the pandemic and on-going cost-of-living crisis CFINE has seen a huge increase in demand for our support services. For example, our emergency food parcel distribution dramatically rose from an estimated 35,307 in 2022/23 to 38,205 in 2023-2024. CFINE’s services have been dealing with increasingly complex cases with individuals reporting increased; feelings of anxiety and stress, financial pressures, worry about paying bills, the choice between eating or heating, and social isolation.

This campaign will help us to maintain our current service provision to meet the rising demand for support. Our food support services are the first stage of engagement for many of our beneficiaries and provide immediate crisis support for those most affected by the cost-of-living crisis. Those who require further support are then linked to our holistic, wrap-around support services aimed at tackling the root causes of poverty and promoting health and wellbeing.
