This Christmas, many Bristolians will go without essentials – food, warmth or even a home. Your support can give emergency food to hungry people, offer clothes or showers to homeless people, provide somewhere safe to stay and give access to advice for issues like health, money or housing.

Situation
The Cost of Living Crisis continues to hurt the people in Bristol who are least able to cope. More than 8,600 homes are facing severe food insecurity – i.e. there is no food left in their cupboards. Over 1,500 families or single people are homeless and living in temporary accommodation in Bristol. The number of people sleeping rough in the city is steadily rising. 15% of rough sleepers are likely to be women, who are more likely than men to be subject to abuse and violent or sexual assault.
Solution
inHope provides life-saving, emergency help for people living at crisis point. Emergency food parcels and hot meals prevent individuals and families from going hungry. Practical help provides homeless people with essentials such as clothes, sleeping bags and showers. Support with issues such as housing, money, health and wellbeing enable people to overcome the challenges they’re experiencing. Our women’s night shelter provides a warm, safe bed for up to 8 women per night, 365 nights a year.
