Spinal cord injury (SCI) is irreversible, meaning lives are turned upside down in a split second. It is a devastating permanent disability that can cause paralysis, dysfunction of the bladder and bowel, constant pain, loss of sensation below the level of injury, loss of sexual function, and complex mental health issues as people are faced with the distressing realism of relearning how to live every day. While SCI results in physical paralysis, we know that its impact extends far beyond the body.

Our holistic approach to supporting people who are spinal cord injured and their loved ones means we provide the time, expertise and connections essential to making pathways towards a fulfilled life. We won’t stop until we live in a world where every person with a spinal cord injury gets the chance to lead a fulfilled life. Our network of services, through a team of experts and those with lived experience, empower the SCI community by advising, educating, supporting and campaigning.
