Wac Arts purpose is to improve the lives of young people through access to the arts. Our high-quality affordable Arts Programme nurtures creativity, supporting young people facing physical and socio-economic barriers to participation, enabling them to connect, have fun and build life-skills.

Situation
Poverty, ethnicity, disability, and postcode continue to prevent equal access to arts and culture. Opportunities in schools have been reduced, private lessons remain expensive, and inequality is growing daily with the cost-of-living crisis. Now more than ever, young people need relevant affordable access to the arts, where they can connect, develop skills, and have fun. 20% of our young people identify as disabled, 32% live in areas of deprivation, 70% come from Global Majority backgrounds.
Solution
Our accessible Arts Programme provides positive, relevant, and uplifting activities for young people to explore their creativity and cultural identity, regardless of their background or ability. From our London HQ and safe community spaces and schools across London and the UK, our activities help build transferable skills and unlock creative potential. We provide vital social connectivity, helping safeguard young people’s mental and physical wellbeing, and tackle important social issues.
