Situation
In 2019 unprecedented numbers of young people joined the school strikes, calling for action on the climate and ecological crises. The strikes showed how deeply young people care about these issues, but the public’s response left many involved feeling resentful at being painted as the ‘generation that will solve it all’ whilst the adults around them such as school teachers and even their own parents, continue with business as usual. This led to many young people feeling disempowered.
Solution
We meet young people where they are at and, as a dynamic youth-led charity, many young people ask us for help. We work alongside them as equal partners, doing whatever we can to help ensure their projects and campaigns are a success. Donations will enable us to support more young people to leverage the influence they have on those around them, giving them a sense of agency and a framework for taking action. This will help nurture a generation of purpose-driven change-makers.
