The high cost of providing primary and social care in communites means less investment in art and art activities that benefit people who work in or visit those spaces. Every year, thousands of people are denied the opportunity to access and explore art to help them reflect, exchange ideas, be creative, reminisce or find calm in stressful or disadvantaged circumstances. As a small charity of 5 FTE members, working with 152 partners across the UK, we punch above our weight. But we need your help.
Our evaluations show carers, patients and community members reduce stress levels when exploring art from our art collection and improve wellbeing through creative expression and social interaction. To ensure more people can access quality art interventions where it is needed most, we aim to train local arts practitioners in how to use our art collection as a cataylst to deliver unique and impactful activities in current operational areas and beyond.
