Situation
Social norms and limited investment hinder girls from reaching their full potential, particularly for those in marginalised Global Majority communities. We are missing out on transformative social change and gender equity globally. Currently, girls are not seen by their communities as leaders due to their gender and race; girls are denied the support and opportunities to make the change they need in their communities; and development initiatives do not take into account their needs.
Solution
Through our 3-month Global Girl Leadership Initiative our girls, aged 13 to 18 years, learn the vital skills needed to mobilise and lead within their communities and globally. This sustainable offering promotes the the development of communities by increasing the self-worth of each girl while providing her with essential experience & tools to create change within her community. Includes 11 curated 2 hour sessions in local languages to maximise reach & accessibility.
