Young people lack the self-belief, confidence and skills to step into their potential, succeed in employment and take hold of their rightful place in society. With around 850,000 young people who are NEET, society’s future scientists, thinkers, philosophers, politicians, creatives, and leaders are at risk of being lost to their current lack of belief and hope. While entering employment is part of the solution, this reality feels unattainable for those struggling the most.

Resurgo’s Spear Programme equips unemployed 16-24-years-olds facing significant barriers to work with both the practical tools they need to get a job, and the resilience to overcome deep-rooted attitudes that are holding them back. Trainees receive six weeks of expert coaching in a supportive peer environment, including practical training such as mock interviews, and a further year of personalised support from their coach to help them find and sustain work.
