Those living with endometriosis in the UK face multiple barriers to accessing information, support, a diagnosis, and treatment for the disease. Our latest diagnosis survey found it takes on average 8 years, 10 months to receive a diagnosis. Even with a diagnosis, support can be difficult to access. A survey of over 10,000 people with endometriosis by The All Party Parliamentary Group on Endometriosis found that 72% respondents were not given any written information when diagnosed.

Our new specialist nurse helpline will directly address the severe impact that delays in accessing urgently needed support, treatment, and care are having on those suffering with endometriosis in the UK. It will enable people suffering with chronic endometriosis symptoms and pain to make informed decisions about their care and relieve pressure from the NHS through providing medically informed support.
