We support sufferers/survivors of domestic abuse who are often from harder to reach, marginalised communities. We provide vital support based on individual intersecting needs, and we want to share our knowledge & experience to ensure that future help reflects the needs of the often-underrepresented.

Our aim is to help sufferers of domestic violence across our community. In 2021 / 2022, there were 2,268 domestic abuse incidents in Wandsworth alone - (SSA Equality Impact And Needs Analysis). With our proposed provision, we seek to promote more support for DA sufferers/survivors within our local, and neighbouring boroughs. With this delicate issue, individuals seeking help may encounter barriers such as stigma. Our open-door appraoch is here to give calm and comfort when seeking help.

Our aim is to recruit and train Peer Supporter counsellors to provide outreach support to sufferers/survivors in the local communities. The Peer Supporters would support clients of domestic abuse with low support needs, where the risk has lowered. We already provide women with support at S.T.O.R.M and have an existing pool of service users who would benefit from 1:1 support to help them in their recovery from domestic abuse. We work with locally commissioned DA services, the Police and CAMHS.
