Survivors with multiple support needs: pre-existing mental health issues, learning disabilities/Autism, substance misuse, isolation from faith or cultural identity, illiteracy, homelessness and/or social care involvement, need extra support. Additional challenges mean they can experience increased trauma symptoms (Complex PTSD and suicide ideation). We’ve seen a 40% increase in referrals of survivors with multiple needs since 2019 and currently have 154 clients waiting for specialist support.

Our highly skilled Specialist Support Workers help survivors with multiple/complex needs: we supported 238 complex needs clients last year. We advocate for the clients’ wider needs, liaising with other agencies and professionals involved with the client across housing needs, mental health, physical health, safeguarding issues, access requirements, relationships (children, family or community). We will offer 246-hour long specialist support sessions to women and girls with multiple/complex needs.
