We're celebrating 30 years of giving giggles to children. In 2023 our highly trained 'Giggle Doctors' made over 15,000 visits to children in hospital, with plans for more in 2024. Giggle Doctors are not volunteers, so we need your help to raise the funds to make sure they continue their amazing work

We recognise that the challenges children in hospital face are ever changing, they can experience loneliness, isolation, anxiety and a lack of opportunities to simply play. To respond to the largest numbers of children experiencing mental health difficulties and trauma that we have ever encountered, we’ve worked with external organisations to provide tailored training on these topics, so our Giggle Doctors are well equipped to communicate and play with all children and young people they meet.

Our Giggle Doctors are not volunteers and are highly trained to equip them to deal with the many different situations they can encounter in hospital. They visit our core hospitals across the country and respond to what each child aged from 0 to 18, they meet needs; whether it is slapstick, conversation, bubbles, distraction..the list goes on. We are proud that whether in person or virtually, Giggle Doctor visits are free for all children and their families, because everyone deserves a giggle!
