Fawcett Society works to end sexism and misogyny. This takes many forms and has, through history, been entrenched in society, underpinning gender inequality. We now face new and resurgent forms of misogynistic backlash. Our current focus is on tackling: the additional barriers women face in the workplace; the absence of women in positions of power and influence; and the systematic exclusion of women from the development of tech products that sees them being disadvantaged by their outcomes.

Fawcett is a change-maker; we collaborate with women and other groups to produce compelling campaigns and research, amplifying the voices and lived experiences of women and girls to shift societal attitudes and create change in legislation and policies that shape women’s lives. Fawcett spearheaded The Worker Protection Act; this places a duty on employers to prevent sexual harassment in their workplaces. With support, we will continue to make tangible change for women across the UK.
