Solutions Not Sides is responding to the huge surge in interest in school workshops on Israel-Palestine by doubling the number of Palestinian & Israeli peace builders we are bringing to speak with young people. We plan to run 25 tours in 2024-25 and reach 15,000 young people. #PeaceBuilderVoices

Situation
The skills of dialogue, respectful disagreement, active listening, and critical thinking are being eroded because of disinformation and polarisation. The issue of Israel-Palestine is one of the topics where this is most acute, causing racism and hatred in Britain, with Antisemitic and Islamophobic incidents currently at unprecedented levels. The CST recorded a 589% increase in antisemitism (Oct-Dec 2023), while Tell MAMA recorded a 335% increase in Islamophobia (Oct 23-Feb 24).
Solution
Our programme is based on three key values: non-violence, equality for all, and the rejection of hatred. Our programming primarily engages students at the opinion-forming stage of 15-18, ensuring that young people engage with the subject within the safe space of a structured educational environment. Our workshops delivers humanising encounters, through meeting young Palestinian and Israeli peace builders, with audio-visual resources to deepen learning, alongside resources & CPD for educators.
