Lindengate aims to improve people’s mental and physical health and wellbeing through the provision of nature-based activities. We support people with a wide range of low to moderate mental health needs, such as work-related stress, loneliness and isolation, depression and/or anxiety. Other beneficiaries may include elderly people facing dementia and memory loss, young people not in education and/or struggling with attendance, carers, and women from minority ethnic communities.

We run a variety of different programmes using horticulture, gardening, environmental conservation, arts and craft, woodworking, and education to enable recovery through nature. All programmes are facilitated within our beautiful 6-acre gardens and nature reserve and are built and measured around the Five Ways to Wellbeing: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give. We also support the wider community by opening the gardens to the public, and provide regular workshops and events.
