Catalyst Counselling works with adults over 18 in Surrey who have concerns about their mental health, drug and alcohol use, or are affected by someone else's use. Catalyst Counselling is a well-known service in the community, we receive referrals from multiple local agencies and healthcare settings, and half of our clients refer themselves by filling out a form online. We have helped many people and our clients recommend us to others, which has created a long waiting list for the service.

Funding can help us recruit and train more counsellors to provide help to more people and faster. We offer up to 24 counselling sessions, which is more than most services available locally. All our counsellors have specific training in drugs, alcohol, mental health and wellness and they work with the clients in a non-judgemental and safe way to explore present and past events, work through difficult feelings, empower their choices and develop strategies to improve mental health and wellness.
