We are all becoming increasingly aware of the importance of good mental health in our daily lives. For children living with a life-limiting condition, this is even more vital. We want to be able to offer free access to psychologists to anyone who is living with Duchenne.

Duchenne is a condition that profoundly affects the body and mind. Yet, we have found that psychological support offered by hospitals that treat children with Duchenne is inconsistent, can take several months to access and in some cases is not available at all. We know first-hand from our founder's own experience.
Funding would allow us to offer immediate help to affected families on the point of diagnosis and beyond. We are currently working with a network of clinical psychologists who are specialists in working with children and young people affected by physical disabilities. We feel it's vital to be able to offer this mental health support as early as possible. There are currently approx. 1,700 children are diagnosed every year with DMD.
