A service to support older people who are living with depression and anxiety that is impacting their wellbeing and ability to make the most out of later life.

    Many older people are still coming to terms with the effects of the Covid 19, the lockdowns and forced social isolation, health worries and all that followed. Now there is the cost-of-living crisis, NHS waiting times and general uncertainty, as well as worries that can be associated with growing older, i.e. losing loved ones, deteriorating health and independence. Worrying about paying bills, managing a home, falling ill and even dying do have a huge impact on persons mental wellbeing.

    To offer and facilitate a safe and welcoming space for any older person who is living with depression and/or anxiety to meet with others who are feeling similarly overwhelmed, depressed and/or anxious to meet in a small group to explore self-help strategies to help support themselves and others, access information and advice, where needed tap into Advocacy support and to participate in wellbeing activities identified as of interest to the group or its participants.
