Children and young people have faced immeasurable change and uncertainty in recent years, contributing to issues such as anxiety, sadness and low self-esteem. 1 in 5 children aged 8 to 16 years were identified as having a probable mental health disorder in December 2023, an increase from 1 in 6 in 2022. NHS figures show that the number of children being referred to CAMHS has soared by 76% since 2019 with over 400,000 children waiting for a mental health treatment.

Place2Be has 30 years' experience working with pupils, families and staff in schools. Nationally, we reach around 300,000 children in more than 500 schools, supporting pupils, families, and staff, in a whole-school approach. We aim to prevent life-long mental health issues, and provide children with the resilience and coping skills needed to thrive. Support includes one-to-one counselling, drop-in sessions for pupils and teachers, parenting advice and a whole-school approach.
