London is in the grip of a hunger crisis. 40% of children in London experienced food poverty in the last month, and 1 in 4 working parents have told us they regularly struggle to put enough food on the table. 100,000 families in London have less than £3 per day to spend on food. Yet the UK wastes over 10 million tonnes of food every year. In London, 67% of this is food is still good enough to eat, but less than 1% is redistributed.

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. We save surplus food that would otherwise have been thrown away and deliver it to organisations supporting people experiencing food insecurity. In 2023, we delivered the equivalent of 32 million meals to 1,119 community organisations across every London Borough and saved 14,000 tonnes of food from being wasted. Supported by an army of volunteers, our vision is a world where no Londoner goes hungry and good food is never wasted.
