    Situation

Sexual assault is one of the most devastating violations that anyone can experience. This has a severe impact on mental health often leading to depression, guilt, self-harm and suicidal thoughts. Yet many survivors fall through the cracks when accessing help; their needs may not reach thresholds for acute services, but they are unable to afford alternatives.

    Solution

No one should be alone when they have experienced sexual violence. We work with survivors to provide a supportive community to start to heal from trauma. We offer therapy, groupwork, an email and telephone helpline, advocacy and support in areas such as navigating the legal system and accessing healthcare. We also offer training in areas such as understanding the effects of trauma on the brain, vicarious trauma and the impact of sexual violence.
