St Werburghs City Farm is an inner-city oasis for people and wildlife alike. Just passed the motorway and under the railway tunnel there are vegetable gardens, farm animals and allotments. Please help us to continue offering a moment of calm, nature connection and education to all who visit us.

The Farm's neighbouring communities fall within the 20% most deprived in the UK, facing challenges of unemployment, low income, mental ill-health, low educational attainment, lack of opportunity, poor air quality and other disadvantages. Since the pandemic, we have seen a huge increase in mental health challenges and anxiety in our community made worse by declining access to public services. Green spaces are proven to reduce the impacts of deprivation, improve wellbeing and boost biodiversity.

Our Farm offers a safe green space for people to breathe, learn, and connect with nature and each other. We want to repair and improve facilities for people and wildlife alike, so that we can continue to welcome more than 60,000 visitors each year. We will work with volunteers to build new planters for pollinators, sow wildlife corridors and install new signage, whilst maintaining free access for our community to enjoy our green space, stop for a moment, and meet the animals and wildlife here.
