Please support MASH to purchase a much needed new van; a place of safety and solace for women who are sex working on the streets at night time. For many women the van team are 'life savers', a first responder in a moment of crisis or 'the only friendliness' someone experiences in their day.

For a woman out sex working tonight on the streets of Greater Manchester, she is on constant high alert. She is at high risk of abuse & violence, the dark streets are almost desolate and it is likely that she is dealing with trauma - her mental health is suffering. She doesn't have a safe home to return to or a support network. Nowhere to turn to for kindness and no trust that she'll be heard and believed. With a much-needed new van, MASH can continue to provide this lifeline service.

“The MASH van was the single light in my darkest times.” “A hot drink and someone to listen to me makes such a difference" The van is taken to the areas where women are working. They can step on for safety, care, support and practical items. The van is so often a first responder when women have been attacked or are experiencing a mental health crisis. Women tell us that knowing the van is nearby when they are working gives them peace of mind. The van is a step into further support.
