At least 1 in 4 people experience poor mental health in any given year, that's more than 375,000 people in Lancashire. But only 1 in 3 are receiving treatment and 1.2 million people are on mental health waiting lists in England. Common mental health conditions have been rising in recent years; in Lancashire over 15% of the adult population have been diagnosed with depression. Mental health conditions often start at a young age so we're committed to helping children, young people and adults.

Lancashire Mind work with children and adults to either help them avoid poor mental health in the first place or learn how to manage and recover from it. We offer multiple services to address gaps in provision for people experiencing challenges with their mental health. For example, through Wellbeing Coaching, people work with a coach to complete activities around thought challenging and breaking the cycle that leads to poor mental health, enabling them to make positive changes in their life.
