Situation
For many young Londoners living in low -scoring socio-economic areas, the playing field is not level. As well as challenges around low self-esteem, post code lotteries and a shortage of positive role models, there is inequality of opportunity, limited exposure to inspiring environments and many barriers to accessible and relevant pathways for personal and career development. The cost of living has exacerbated the unevenness of the playing field. Our work seeks to address the imbalance.
Solution
At Behind Every Kick, it's 'game on' to ensure that every year, we can deliver our expertly designed life skills programme to more young people. We do this by reaching more schools & sports clubs, offering more mentoring opportunities and workplace experiences- connecting young people to businesses and individuals thereby, paving ways towards employability, further education, and enhanced career prospects. 'Game on' for us, is creating those pathways and connecting young people to opportunity.
