    Situation

Mental health difficulties affect many of us – 6 in 10 adults experience anxiety that interferes with their daily lives and 1 in 6 children aged 5-16 are likely to have a mental health problem. Many of us can overcome these challenges by talking with and getting support from family, friends, and colleagues. For others, without professional therapeutic support, these challenges may lead to escalating mental health difficulties for them their family and their wider community.

    Solution

Provide those facing mental health challenges and unable to pay for counselling, access to specialist, non-stigmatising, high quality support from a known and trusted service. Focus on communities where there is limited access to therapy due to rurality, mobility, marginalisation, deprivation, discrimination, etc. Helping them improve their psychological and physical health; improve their relationships and overall quality of life. Counselling offered face to face, or via a secure video link.
