It's estimated that 60,600 adults have a mental illness across Leicestershire, however, many are unable able to access free talking therapy (Leicestershire JSNA, 2018). For many, the inescapable toll of challenging life circumstances can add to levels of mental distress, making life seem unbearable. Nature can provide an antidote, offering meaning and connection. It's our mission to showcase activities at Bradgate Park so that those most in need experience remarkable mental health benefits.

Working with existing groups, we’ll provide the breathing space to benefit from activities surrounded by Leicestershire's finest nature. Our 12-week tailored programmes will offer opportunities from sensory stimulation in the kitchen garden or allotment to wellbeing walks and wilderness skills in our woodland workshop. Individuals will leave with an information pack including regular activities to take part in at the Park and ideas for being mindful in nature, no matter where it is found.
