We're facing an unprecedented threat to our world. Climate and ecological breakdown will seriously impact our community's well-being. Totnes faces multiple issues which make our rural community vulnerable to climate threats. All tiers of our local government have declared a climate emergency and we partnered with our Town Council and community to address specific local challenges, including: insufficient practical support to help people cut energy use and a lack of public space to connect.

Totnes Climate Hub hosts a wide range of events, often in partnership with local groups. These include monthly advice sessions on topics including green energy and green finances, skill share workshops, and story-telling for children. We also hold space for people to share and process emotions around climate change. Through Transition Town Totnes, we improve local resilience through the use of community-organising practices to educate, upskill, and empower residents to take positive action.
