Underrepresented young people from disadvantaged backgrounds face inequity in access to music education due to disruptive home lives, familial pressure to pursue traditional qualifications & cost. According to UK Music, only 15% of children at state schools receive sustained music tuition, compared to 50% at independent schools. At a minimum 50% of our participants will be eligible for Pupil Premium & 50% from Global Majority backgrounds, targeting those without access to music projects.

We provide visibility, access & opportunity for marginalised 11-18s by connecting them with inspiring, professional musicians they can relate to. Musicians lead live assembly performances and workshops showing it's possible to have a career in the music industry which is often closed to all but the privileged. We inspire lifelong engagement w/ music & arts, build confidence, resilience & life skills needed for a successful future. FS will benefit 60 YP directly & 800 indirectly via performances.
