Too many children in poverty are living in difficulty - kids going to sleep in clothes as they don’t have pj’s; babies sleeping with parents as they have no cot; babies lying on towels, on bare floors, because a playmat is lacking; not being able to leave the room because there’s no stairgate to keep a child safe; feeding baby on a lap as there’s no highchair. These were all realities for families as reported by our referral partners before MammaKind provided equipment to make their homes safer.

We provide families with the things they need to create a safe environment for children at home. We meet shorter-term health and wellbeing needs through the provision of good quality clothing, footwear, nappies, toys, toiletries, wipes. We help keep children safe and healthy in the longer term with equipment such as beds, bouncer chairs, cots, highchairs, prams and new mattresses. Throughout the summer we will spend more on families to help ease the impact of school closures.
