Our existing youth buses (33 and 23 years old) will no longer be repairable by the end of 2025. We will need to replace them with 10-12 year old buses that we will get converted by a professional bus converter. These will then be used in over 12 communities across Cambridgeshire for the next 10 yrs.

Situation
Lack of youth work provision for young people in rural and new build areas of Cambridgeshire. Many communities do not have suitable facilities for youth clubs where young people and meet safely and engage with youth workers for support and advice.
Solution
Provision of bespoke double decker youth buses that visit each community once a week for 2 hours, giving young people access to: Information and Advice – general advice on issues affecting young people One-to-one support – personalised help through advice, advocacy and referral Fun – sports, games, music, quizzes, food preparation and crafts
