The CVRP is among the most pressured parts of London’s Green Belt, which is under severe threat due to infrastructure development. The Colne Valley is at the epicentre of this problem, with proposals currently for: • More than a dozen data centres • Motorway services • Warehousing • Tens of thousands of houses • Huge film studios and many other speculative developments All sandwiched between two of Europe’s biggest proposed civil engineering projects in HS2 and the Heathrow Airport expansion.

We will coordinate advocacy efforts for the CVRP and persuade government decision-makers to act to protect the special landscape of the Park, to implement policy to safeguard it for future generations, and enable it to realise its full potential for people & wildlife. We will do this by bringing positive attention to the Green Belt, mobilising individuals, community groups, charities, as well as local and national politicians in a campaign that is pro-countryside, not anti-development.
