Help us grow our herd of ponies so we can continue to support disadvantaged young people in the Scottish Borders who are facing personal challenges in their lives. Our Equine programmes help these young people look to a healthier and happier future with empowered choice, aspiration and dreams.

We provide support to disadvantaged young people across the Scottish Borders through Equine Assisted activities, using specially trained horses to help them overcome mental health issues by breaking cycles of damaging behaviour and feelings of helplessness. However our herd has decreased over the last year and we need to find suitable replacements so we can continue to provide our much needed services.

Increasing our herd of horses will allow us to continue to provide our Equine Assisted sessions and change lives. These sessions use the horse and a peaceful space to build up positive and trusting relationships, encouraging responsibility and increase confidence by positive reinforcement in achievable tasks. The young people become inspired by their new skills and confidence, which gives them the motivation to try new things and turn negative experiences into positive opportunities.
