Each year, we waste an astounding 30% of our food - enough to feed the entire UK population 3 meals a day for 11 weeks. This waste contributes 30% of the UK’s carbon footprint and puts pressure on nature. A land area the size of Wales is needed to grow the food we waste. Stopping food waste could mean more land available for biodiverse ecosystems. Meanwhile, our communities are under increasing pressure due to the cost of living crisis and community groups struggle for resources.

We collect good surplus food and share it with 60 local community groups to stop it going to waste. Our 140+ trained volunteers collect from supermarkets, suppliers and farms 7 days a week. In 7 years, we have saved 756 tonnes of fruit, veg, bakery, dairy, meat and ready meals from waste, mitigating more than 2000 tonnes of carbon emissions. Our Taste with No Waste campaign busts the myths about food dates, storage and portions to make our food at home go further.
