Managing our nature reserves costs us over £200,000 per year and our costs are increasing as they are for everyone. We have a shortfall in the funds needed to carry out essential scheduled work that needs to be carried at our nature reserves across Shropshire this year and need your help.

Nature is in crisis and needs our help. From our precious peatlands and wildflower-rich grasslands to ancient woodlands and amazing heathlands. Species are declining and threatened with extinction. Wildflower meadows have been lost, new developments threaten wildlife and native woodland and hedgerows have been removed. The precious nature reserves we care for provide a vital haven for wildlife to survive and we must do all we can to ensure the wildlife in and around them continues to thrive.

Our county's wildlife and natural habitats play a valued role in addressing climate and ecological emergencies. We are the only charitable organisation in the county focused solely on nature conservation in Shropshire, creating wilder land and rivers. This work will help to maintain the ongoing health and condition of our nature reserves. It is essential if we are to create a strong and resilient foundation for nature’s recovery in Shropshire.
