    Situation

We believe the arts should be accessible, and work with our funding partners to keep our festival free to access for everyone. We commission projects which not only entertain, but ones which can be thought provoking and lifechanging. We believe in the power of the arts in communities and commission projects which can help build cohesive communities through participation. We want to increase our funding to keep our festival free to access and engage as many people as possible.

    Solution

We are trying to raise awareness locally about the impact we have with the communities we engage through participatory projects and our wider audience about what our festival means for our region. Our aim is to identify new income streams to continue investing in participation work for particularly children and young people, which has the power to be life-changing. We believe the arts can not only be able to delight and inspire an audience, but also tackle socially divisive topics in our society
