The Aloud Charity's purpose is to transform lives through the power of singing together. Our choirs provide a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for teenagers across Wales to express themselves and make friends, which helps to build self-assurance, improve wellbeing and develop skills.

The Aloud Charity was created to provide young people in Wales with experiences they wouldn't otherwise have access to. We run choirs in areas where economic deprivation is high, and where ambitions and opportunities are low. In addition to these challenges, teenagers are experiencing a mental health crisis, with self-confidence levels plummeting. In a recent Aloud survey, 68% of participants said they hoped to "build confidence" through the choir and 74% hoped to "build social/life skills".

Aloud runs choirs for young people aged 9-19. Rehearsals offer fun and sociable places to make friends and build confidence through singing together. We offer exciting performance opportunities and unique experiences, including residential and international trips. These raise aspiration, support skill development and improve self-esteem. Our professional Choir Leaders provide high quality music tuition and support the wellbeing and mental health of participants as positive role models.
