The natural environment of tomorrow is in the hands of young people today. Igniting a passion for conservation and nurturing a lasting connection with nature is vital if people and wildlife are to have a sustainable future. Our project will let young people be the change that nature needs.

Recent studies show that many young people lose their connection to nature after the age of ten, and once lost, it takes 20 years to recover. The natural world faces many challenges, so we must inspire young people to value, explore, and strengthen their nature connection, for nature’s sake, and for their own health and wellbeing. It is vital that young voices – so often overlooked in discussions around conservation - are empowered to bring their viewpoint to the forefront and be heard.

Our project offers a range of opportunities for young people to engage with conservation and find their own path to making meaningful contributions to nature’s recovery. We will empower young people as conservation champions, recruiting leaders to ignite a passion for wildlife and commitment to preserving our wild places. Through practical skill development, community initiatives, and an active youth forum, we will foster a new generation who can overcoming the challenges facing our wild spaces.
