    Situation

Scotland’s marine and coastal habitats are under unprecedented threat from the twin crises of climate change and biodiversity loss. Our internationally important seabird species including puffins and gannets are in decline, invasive species are challenging fragile marine habitats, and rising sea temperatures, reduction in oxygen and pollution are choking our ocean. These effects are being felt across the world and urgent action and is needed to raise awareness and address them.

    Solution

As a marine conservation and education charity our work inspires and educates people about the Scottish marine environment and the actions needed to protect it. We deliver conservation projects that help restore vital habitats, reducing the pressure on our iconic seabird species. Our citizen science activities and events will help raise awareness of the challenges facing the marine environment, and equip more people with the knowledge and skills needed to take positive action for our seas.
