Care to Dance will enrich the lives of residents at Gainsborough Hall Care Home, Leamington Spa, through regular dance/movement workshops and professional live dance performance. The workshops will invite residents to connect, build fitness and mobility and a duet performance will inspire them.

Care to Dance? will bring physical, cognitive and social benefits of dance and movement to the residents of Gainsborough Hall who, for mobility and health reasons, are often not able to access the arts, removing barriers through a professional duet performance at the care home, and giving residents a chance to take part in inclusive, enjoyable dance workshops tailored to their needs. The benefits of dance, music and movement on physical and mental wellbeing are wide-ranging and well-documented.
Solution
We will deliver regular dance & movement sessions for residents at Gainsborough Hall for 9 weeks. Open to all, these gentle, inclusive and enjoyable workshops will build strength and mobility, reduce stress and enhance wellbeing. Two of our professional Motionhouse dancers will also perform one of our breathtaking duets to entertain and inspire the residents, their families & staff, and we will deliver CPD for staff to boost their skills and confidence delivering exercises to bedbound residents.
