We believe that all children should be able to access a high-quality arts education, which teaches them the creative and critical skills they need to excel in life. There is overwhelming evidence of the positive impacts of arts education on overall academic performance. But many teachers – particularly primary school teachers – do not have the knowledge or resources to confidently teach art and art history, and the means to find out and access what is in the national art collection nearby.

ArtUK.org provides teachers with access to free digital learning resources that support art, design and art history teaching. Our resources are designed in partnership with teachers, artists, young people and museums. This initiative will see us build the technology to make it easier for teachers to find public art collections, and related learning resources and stories, by inputting their postcode, thereby connecting them to over 300,000 artworks and over 2,000 stories and learning resources.
