The Winchester Chamber Music Festival is an annual four day Festival of chamber music concerts, schools concerts, family concerts, masterclasses, talks and outreach programmes which take place in venues throughout the city. The performers include some of the finest international chamber musicians.

Situation
WCMF provides top quality chamber music performed by internationally renowned musicians is an accessible way and to as wide an audience as possible. Not only does the Festival offer concerts, interactive and fully participatory schools workshops and concerts, family concerts, masterclasses, talks, we also believe strongly in outreach activities - bringing music into schools,to a charity for adults with learning difficulties and also to elderly residents of St John's Charity Winchester.
Solution
WCMF aims to take music to many venues around the city; take music out to people who wouldn't normally go to a standard concert venue; offer the concerts in as friendly as manner as possible with introductions from the stage and opportunities to mingle and chat with the performers throughout the weekend; offer different genres of music in more relaxed concerts as a way in for those who have not previously attended a professional concert; keep ticket prices low & offer concessions
