This campaign has now closed

We are raising funds to have a bigger positive impact on the environment and our community in Waltham Forest, by supporting a move to new premises in 2024. More paint, wood and textiles will be recycled, and more people supported to get involved through training, volunteering and other activities.

    Situation

It is estimated that 55 million litres of paint are thrown away in the UK every year. FRP’s mission is to keep that paint from going to landfill or incineration, polluting air, soil and water. We take surplus paint from re-use and recycling centres, re-mix it, make sure it’s in top quality condition and sell it on to individuals and community organisations. Given that new paint contributes 2.4kg of CO2 to the atmosphere per litre, re-using paint in this way.

    Solution

We are reclaiming paint and we are looking for new premises so that we can distribute much more to our community, and be easier to access. At the moment we are in premises that are not easy to find and are not very suitable for our needs. People want to be more involved - help us cover the costs of a relocation and we can reach many more people with all of our recycling work and especially our unique paint operation, as well as space for community activities.
