Situation
Girls and women in south Nepal face gender discrimination that too often can lead to the extremes of gender-based violence (GBV), including rape.
Solution
We have an ongoing programme of upliftment of girls through education and training, including at the Kathmandu-based social enterprise "Lily's Leaves". In parallel, we support a refuge for rape survivors that offers protection and rehabilitation to victims, prior to returning them to families and communities, if safe to do so.
